Bowtech Compound Bows

Bowtech compound bows got started in 1999 when John Strasheim had some revolutionary ideas on compound bow design. In 2000 they introduced the Bowtech Black Knight at a trade show challenging others bows to beat the Black Knight's speed. None could compare and Bowtech adopted the marketing motto of the "fastest bows in the world".
In 2002 they set up shop in a 60,000 square foot facility on the outskirts of Eugene Oregon. They also set up a proshop on the 14 acres so they would have all their operations under one roof.
In 2004 Bowtech compound bows bought Diamond Archery and Diamond bows are arguably the best single cam bow on the market. They developed a state of the art dipping process that is still the only dipping facility of its kind on the west coast.
In 2005 Bowtech compound bows motto was changed to "Refuse to Follow". In 2006 they developed the binary cam system.
In 2007 they introduced the center pivot riser that has widely gained acceptance throughout the archery world. The design is very quiet and shock free. That year also saw the expansion of the Bowtech compound bows manufacturing facilities with an additional 80,000 square feet. Savage Sports bought Bowtech compound bows that year as well and this has enabled them to sustain continued growth in the industry.
In 2008 Bowtech compound bows shipped a record amount of bows and also completely redesigned the Ross compound bow line-up. The innovative Octane line of accessories also came to market with great success.
I owned a few Bowtech bows, a Bowtech Extreme and an Allegiance. The Extreme was undoubtedly one of the fastest and most stable single cam bows I ever shot and it was very accurate. The Allegiance was harder to draw and not as smooth as the Extreme but it was lighter and faster. Both bows held like a rock at full draw. I did a lot of hunting with the Extreme and took some nice animals but I didn't really like the draw on the Allegiance so I didn't keep it long. A lot of guys do though and swear the Allegiance was one of the best bows Bowtech Compound bows ever made.
I currently own a Destroyer and it's not going anywhere anytime soon, I love the bow. It holds like a rock, has no vibration at the shot, is quite, and is tack driving accurate. One of the best bows they ever made.
We have access to a large amount of Bowtech compound bows with new models being added all the time at bargain prices. If you don't see something you like today, check back next week.
